Mike Vilhauer's story
Mike Vilhauer lost for a week while fishing in California. He had lost his way and had started heading back too late, so he huddled under a pine tree for protection from the sun. He became thirsty and hungry again the next day, so he took a drink from puddles. He continued walking around circles trying to find a way to escape the city.
After five days of hiking in the mountains, Mike had a revelation: He realized he was completely lost and needed help. He wrote to his loved ones explaining his dilemma and apologizing. He saw the helicopter from above on the morning, Aug. 10. He swung his arms in the air to attract the attention of the pilot, who spotted him and alerted the search and rescue crews to his location. Rescuers were sent from eight or nine counties, including the state of Nevada, and his story was told on national television.
Adrian Knopps' tale
An incredible survival story in wilderness, Adrian Knopps, an electrician survived seven days on his own in Alaskan wilderness following a terrifying bear hunt with a friend. Knopps had lost his friend and was now alone in Alaskan wilderness. Knopps's partner had fled into rife and left him alone surrounded only by bears, wolves packs, and other animals. He was experiencing hypothermia and hallucinations as a result of the storm that battered them at 70 mph. Coast Guard officials informed him that they have never seen anyone survive so extreme wilderness conditions.

Knopps was completely soaked by the storm. He suffered hypothermia and exhaustion but never lost his faith. The Coast Guard reached out to Knopps' wife and flew her to the rescue. Knopps suffered from severe hypothermia, hallucinations, swelling of the feet and joints, as well as severe hypothermia. However, he did not lose heart. He still considers it a bizarre accident that happened without explanation.

My survival gear should be stored where?
It is a good idea to keep your survival gear close by, so it is easy to access in an emergency. The easiest place to store your supplies is in a closet or under your bed.
Label your supplies with their contents and dates so that you can identify which ones have been used and which ones are still good.
